The noni fruit is in the spotlight once again! This week, scientists announced they’ve identified two brand new compounds in the noni fruit that were previously unknown to the world. These compounds are among nine total phytochemicals to be identified in the noni fruit, all of which exhibit anti-inflammatory characteristics. The study was published in the prestigious Journal of Natural Products, a peer-reviewed publication on the leading edge of scientific discovery. Noni fruit from Tahiti is the basis for TAHITIAN NONI® Juice, the number-one selling noni juice product in the world. “For years, people have been drinking TAHITIAN NONI Juice for its healthful benefits,” stated Brett West, director of Noni Benefits Research. “We are now beginning to isolate the specific compounds within the juice that are responsible for those benefits. We have also isolated two new compounds that are not found anywhere else in the world.” The two new compounds identified have been given the names Tahitianin A and Tahitianin B by their discoverers.
